Modest Mondays- Week 1

I am super exciting about starting my first series….Modest Mondays!

So, I want to start out with a question. What do you think of when you think of “modesty”? Do you think frumpy, plain and Amish looking? or do you think of a young lady or woman who is beautifully keeping herself for her husband (whether she already has one or not)? Did you realize you can still look young and beautiful while being modest? Actually, the men I know think modesty is beautiful. Immodesty gets you the wrong kind of attention….from the wrong kind of guys.

I would like to share with you 5 outfits I found on Pinterest of beautiful women who are dressed modestly. And guess who is modeling two of the outfits? Lauren Conrad. I’ll start with those.

Here are 3 more outfits I just love that are so wonderfully modest…who would say they are frumpy or amish looking?

I usually wear skirts or dresses outside of the house, but I wear pants on occasion. Next time I will share some ways you can dress modestly in pants- without wearing baggy jeans!

Does the thought of being “modest” bother you? Do you think these outfits are cute and modest or not?

Sincerely,
Hannah Diane

  1. All of these outfits are gorgeous and I would wear every single one! Being modest doesn’t scare me at all. I find it hard to buy modest cute summer dresses these days because they all seem to be getting increasingly shorter and shorter at the hem line & I am SO tall. It’s really hard to find a pretty dress with a good length that doesn’t skim my thighs. Ugh! Anyway, love the post Hannah!

  2. Hey Hannah,

I love these looks and you are 100% right. We can look gorgeous modestly. My question is where can I find these clothes without breaking my wallet?

  3. Love these!! Do you know where I might be able to find the white/blue one? I know you posted a year ago, but I love it! Thanks

  4. Hi Hannah! Great blog! I just noticed that you are using my picture. Its the one on the top with the red maxi skirt and you put your website all over it. I would love it if you could not use my picture without permission or crediting back to my blog. Thank you

    1. I am SO sorry! I didn’t know. I saw the photo on another blog and she said she didn’t know whose it was. I don’t remember the blog now….it’s been a while. I’ll remove them all now. Again, so sorry, and thanks for letting me know!

  5. Hi Hannah,
Your named after one modest servant of Jehovah. Your article was great. Like you, I love dresses an skirts and sometimes pants. Sewing them at times is satisfying. I purchase dresses an skirts from Chadwick’s an Metrostyle. I find for myself looking at the written description of the garment helps. I know for myself 25” or longer makes the skirt fall beneath my knees. 45 or longer for a dress. It helps because pictures may make a dress look longer or shorter than it actually is on the model. Your article An choice of pictures was well done. I also use WordPress. Keep up the good work!
Gina. From fatfitanfab.com I look forward to another article. Almost ready to post a new one myself.
