DIY Linen Spray

Happy Tuesday! Who else has freezing weather this week? I’m not really sure how I feel about it….I mean, if it’s not going to snow, please don’t be this cold. Ahem.

Today I want to share with you one of my favorite DIY natural products! I’m all about getting rid of chemical-laden products, and using natural things instead.

DIY Linen Spray

This is super-duper easy to make, and I love having it on hand!

Ingredients:
Water
Witch Hazel
8-10 drops of Young Living oil of choice (I used 5 drops Thieves, 5 drops Purification)

Directions:
Fill the bottom of bottle with witch hazel and the rest of the bottle with water. Add oils, mix well and use!

I love using this on our couch, on non-washable pillows and rugs. I love that it’s purifying the air, and it smells so good…without chemicals!! 🙂

Sincerely,

  1. Oooooo I need to try this!! Thank you for sharing! I’m in GA and the weather is starting to feel like NY weather (where I’m originally from)… but yes, where’s the snow? Not that I’m asking for it… LOL

  2. I will HAVE to make this sometime! Thank you for sharing!!
What’s the importance of Witch Hazel in homemade room sprays and such? I have seen that being used a lot.

  3. I love this! I have those oils on hand already so I will have to give this a try! Also..I agree…if it is going to be cold then let it snow…otherwise give me sunny and 75 type of weather! 🙂

  4. This is great! I avoid mainstream linen spray because they are just extra chemicals, but this would be great. Especially with a canine in the house.

  5. I’ve always wanted to try linen spray! A DIY version would be so great. I don’t have any oils, but I’ve seen people make some with lemons that looks really cool, too! =)

  6. That seems like it would smell really good! Our puppy had some accidents on our sofa, and even after the best urine destroyer, I’m always having to kind of “cover up,” the dog smells. I’ll have to try this!

  7. Great idea! I suppose you could also use an antibacterial essential oil (which you may be using here, I don’t have much experience with essential oils!) to disinfect fabric. That used to be my favorite use for Febreze! Thanks for sharing on Hump Day Happenings : )

  8. Made few scents on my own and gave them as gifts to my friends. Some of them hardly fall asleep, so for those i used lavender and camomile and jasmine mix. They love it. And for pet lovers i made mix of citronella, orange grass and tea tree oil freshener. Hmmmm. 🙂
For myself i usef citronella, lavender and cherry oil. Smells amazing. 🙂
    Thanx for tip. 😉

  9. Great idea! I have everything I need for this and hated using febreeze … seriously so bad for you. I’m pinning this to my natural living pinterest board! Pinterest.com/libertygraceluv
