Do you ever struggle to fit everything into your day? Does it ever seem like your devotions or Bible reading get pushed to the end of your “to-do” list or you just rush through them? Raises both hands Sometimes, it’s really, really hard! But do you know what I’ve realized? I don’t have a good day….at all….if I haven’t spent time with my heavenly Father. But, how do you make time and make it a habit?
Most mornings Luke and I have time for reading a Proverb, a devotional and time for prayer. And I love those times with the Lord and Luke first thing in the morning. But I also have to have my own time with the Lord. We all do. But sometimes we just don’t have time to sit down and read.
A couple weeks ago, as I was doing my (sometimes) weekly routine of checking out the thrift store in town, I found some Bible on CDs! And, surprise, they were KJV! I had to get them! For $.50 a piece, it was well worth my money. My vehicle doesn’t have a CD player, but I can now listen to the Bible while I’m in the shower, folding laundry, doing dishes or cleaning the bathroom. And let me tell you, it is such a blessing!
If having your sit down Bible time is difficult, I would suggest getting the Bible on CD. I found the whole KJV Bible on amazon for $35 here.
Now, I still have my sit down Bible time almost every day, too. Nothing beats sitting down, in the quiet, with your Lord. But this helps keep me in God’s Word during moments where my mind could wander. It’s my way of “writing them upon the table of my heart” (Proverbs 7:3).
How do you stay in God’s Word?
Sincerely,
Hannah Diane
I struggle with this too! But you are so right in getting in the Word. I will definitely be checking out those CD’s! Thanks so much for sharing!!
The cds sound helpful!

What a good idea! I used to listen through the Bible when I took my evening walks in the summer.
