Happy Monday, everyone! We had more ice and snow last weekend. It made everything look beautiful, but it made everything slick and slippery. Very glad it’s all over with. Crossing my fingers that Spring will hurry up!
Today I want to share with you some cookies I made for our Girls’ Day Tea Party. I made them into hearts, but you can make them into any shape. 🙂
Shaped Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. tbsp. milk
Frosting Ingredients:
2 tbsp. butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
appox. 5 tbsp. milk
Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add the wet ingredients (will be a stiff dough). Roll into a ball, and chill for one hour. Preheat oven to 375. Mix frosting ingredients and add food coloring of your choice. Remove dough, and cut into shapes, baking them for 10-14 minutes. Frost cookies after they have cooled.
Do you make shaped sugar cookies? What’s your favorite color icing?
Sincerely,
Hannah Diane
These are so cute and they look so yummy too!
Those luck so yummy! My favorite icing/frosting is definitely pink. There is something about it that just makes it taste better!
