Chocolate & Vanilla Iced Coffee

Happy Friday! I hope everyone has had a good week so far….mine has been busy. I’m looking forward to the weekend; being able to get some things done around the Homestead.

I’ve never been a coffee drinker. As in, NEVER. If it had coffee in it, I did not want it. During the craziness of wedding planning and very little sleep, I got into this habit of getting a lot of “doctored” coffee from coffee-shops. When I say doctored, I mean you cannot taste coffee. But it’s there….I’m told.

My husband and I get up at 4am. That may be early or late for some…for me, it’s early. Therefore, I have taken up drinking coffee every morning. We tend to have a good bit of coffee left in the pot when I get home from work, and since we don’t have a microwave, I changed up my mom’s “Mock Frappe” recipe to make iced coffee. So good!

Chocolate & Vanilla Iced Coffee

6oz of regular coffee
2oz of chocolate syrup

4oz of milk (we use goat milk)

1oz of french vanilla creamer (or creamer of your choice)
5-10 ice cubes, depending on how “iced” you want it to be
Add all the ingredients except the ice into blender and mix. Add ice and blend. Serve over ice if desired.

That makes 2 servings for me, so I usually drink one and save the other glass for the next day. It’s good for about a day and a half if you keep it covered.

Do you drink coffee? What are you up to this weekend?

  2. Sounds delicious! I used to be anti-coffee, but as I’ve gotten older I am liking it more and more. I like to say I’m finally maturing. haha Either way, this recipe looks amazing!! Thank you for sharing with us at Delicious Dish Tuesday!
