Happy Tuesday, all! We have had some bad weather here in the south….I’m looking forward to sunny days again later this week! Today I want to share with you my favorite bread recipe- my easy Amish Dinner Rolls. These are so light and fluffy- everyone always compliments them!
Easy Amish Dinner Rolls
2 packages dry yeast
3/4 cup warm water
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup butter, very soft or melted
3 1/2 cups flour- I use 3 cups whole wheat and 1/2 cup white
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt, egg, butter and flour; mix well. Shape dough into ball. Cover and let rise until double in size. While rising, preheat oven to 375. Punch dough down and shape into balls; let rise another 15-20 minutes. Bake for 10-14 minutes. Makes 12 rolls.
Yum, yum, yum! They are super easy to make and so good!
Sincerely,
Hannah Diane

This looks like a simple recipe to do. I like the fact that they are light & fluffy. Sometimes bread and rolls are too dense. I want it to compliment a meal not overstuff me :).
I’ve always loved dinner rolls! Favourite part of dinner as a kid, and these ones look simply delicious! Can’t wait to try them 🙂
This look really simple and delicious. I’ll give them a try!
I hope you like them!
Dinner rolls are my favorite! I could probably eat just those for dinner sometimes. I love how simple this recipe is, and I could make extras to reheat for dinner the next night.
Haha, yes! I will sometimes double the recipe and we will eat them for a week! 🙂
These sound SO easy to make, I’m totally pinning this for later. Do you know how long the first rise usually takes?
The first rise usually takes about an hour. 🙂 I hope you like them!
Sounds really delicious! And they are quite easy to make. I think I need to try my hand on them 🙂
