Quick Amish Dinner Rolls

Happy Tuesday, all! We have had some bad weather here in the south….I’m looking forward to sunny days again later this week! Today I want to share with you my favorite bread recipe- my easy Amish Dinner Rolls. These are so light and fluffy- everyone always compliments them!

Amish Dinner Rolls

Easy Amish Dinner Rolls

2 packages dry yeast

3/4 cup warm water

1/3 cup sugar

1 tsp. salt

1 egg, beaten

1/2 cup butter, very soft or melted

3 1/2 cups flour- I use 3 cups whole wheat and 1/2 cup white

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt, egg, butter and flour; mix well. Shape dough into ball. Cover and let rise until double in size. While rising, preheat oven to 375. Punch dough down and shape into balls; let rise another 15-20 minutes. Bake for 10-14 minutes. Makes 12 rolls.

Yum, yum, yum! They are super easy to make and so good!

Sincerely,

Hannah Diane

  1. This looks like a simple recipe to do. I like the fact that they are light & fluffy. Sometimes bread and rolls are too dense. I want it to compliment a meal not overstuff me :).

  2. Dinner rolls are my favorite! I could probably eat just those for dinner sometimes. I love how simple this recipe is, and I could make extras to reheat for dinner the next night.

  3. I buy dinner rolls way too often. I’m definitely going to be trying this recipe. Thank you for sharing with us at Delicious Dish Tuesday!

  4. Those look like great sized rolls to go with dinner. Thanks for linking up to Sweet and Savoury Sunday, stop by and link up again. Have a great day!! Laura@Baking in Pyjamas
